A public meeting to discuss options around shifting State Highway 1 from Balclutha's main street will be held on Monday.
Clutha District Council district assets manager Jules Witt said an "expo" would be held in the former Manna Bookshop in John St from noon until 5pm.
Council staff, councillors, and the consultant who wrote the report on Balclutha's traffic-flow options would be on hand to discuss the options and issues with the public.
A public meeting in the Balclutha War Memorial Hall would follow at 5.30pm.
Mr Witt said the council was consulting now they had some more detailed information to start considering a decision.
Consultation 18 months ago was to identify all of the options and reduce them to ones that were worth looking into further, in line with the Local Government Act, he said.
