The Tertiary Education Commission (Tec), which has launched an investigation into several allegations laid against a Milton training scheme, is keeping its cards close to its chest as to how the probe is progressing.
Former Tokomairiro Training tutor Brian Crawford went public in July, claiming an atmosphere of bullying, alcohol consumption and intimidation was prevalent at the training centre.
He was backed up by several former trainees and two former tutors, one of whom is continuing with an Employment Court dispute against the facility which is run by Tokomairiro High School.
Tec launched an investigation into the allegations last month and staff have reportedly visited Milton to interview key people, including Mr Crawford, trainees, tutors and school management.
The Otago Daily Times yesterday asked whether Tec had completed its investigation and, if not, when it expected to have it finished.
The newspaper also wanted to know when Tec expects to present its findings to those central to the investigation.
In a brief statement, Pauline Barnes, acting director tertiary providers and service centre, said Tec was continuing its investigation and would complete it as quickly as possible.
"Once completed, a decision will be made on whether any further action is necessary," she said.
