Balclutha’s St Joseph’s School is set to serve up another feast of flavours when its food-truck fundraiser returns on Friday, November 7.

Event organiser Kelly Bensley said this year’s lineup would be "a lot of the same trucks as last year and some new ones as well, including Asian cuisine and custom burgers".

"We’ve got seven food trucks, so we’re really excited about a really nice range of different food types to meet everyone’s tastes, kids and adults alike," she said.

The event will also feature the school PTA’s sausage sizzle. Gates will open from 5.30pm to 7pm and a gold coin donation is requested at the gate.

Funds raised will go towards developing a large covered outdoor learning space between the school’s main block and classrooms — a project expected to cost about $80,000 to $90,000.

"At the moment the space need improvement. The board of trustees have a plan to smarten it up and food truck night is part of that chipping away towards our end goal," Mrs Bensley said.

She said the school and supporter team were hoping for another successful night, with warmer weather.
