More than 90 people made submissions to a public submission hearing in Balclutha yesterday.
''We were really pleased with the response to the survey and people's contributions through the written and verbal submissions,'' Clutha District Mayor Bryan Cadogan said last night.
''People spoke with a lot of passion and heart about the things that are important to them in the district and, overwhelmingly, people just want us to get on with it.''
The submissions would be reviewed by the district assets committee in a month and then to council two weeks later, Mr Cadogan said.
