Michael Dippie
Police were still seeking information on the whereabouts of Michael John Dippie, after his car was moved from Elizabeth St to Ipswich St between 9pm on Sunday and 12pm Monday.
Sergeant Martin Bull, of Balclutha, said search and rescue teams began searching in and along the Clutha River from around 3pm.
The 55-year-old did not turn up for work on Monday morning and has not been seen or heard from over the last two days.
Friends and family are concerned about him and reported him as missing.
He is described as a tall European male with short black hair.
