Police are still searching for missing man Ian Marshall.

Today three boats, a helicopter, and seven volunteer LandSAR teams have been searching from Manuka Island towards the Balclutha township for the man in his 60s.

A police spokeswoman said while the main search has been suspended for the evening, a police dog team will continuing searching.

The search will continue in full capacity tomorrow.

Police are still appealing for any possible sightings of Mr Marshall on Kaka Point Road or the Owaka Highway between 11am and 2pm yesterday, September 20.

They would also like to speak with anyone who walked the Blair Athol walkway between 4pm and 6pm yesterday.
