Businesses and friends are being encouraged to form teams for the second annual "Clutha Challenge" on Friday night as part of the traditional pre-show entertainment.
The Project Clutha event, to be staged in the main show ring, involves a relay race with two teams of four people competing.
Team members must crawl under the netting, one at a time, bob for an apple, run through the tyres and then complete their challenge station before running back to the start line to tag the next team member.
After all four teams members have completed their challenge station, they must all jump into a wool sack and make their way to the finish line.
The challenge stations involve the following, potentially, challenging, tests. -
1. A Fear Factor-style eating challenge (a milkshake with ingredients chosen by rolling a dice).
2. Quiz, including finding the location of Clutha country landmarks on a map.
3. Obstacle course completedwearing gumboots, then once the challenge station is reached, take off the gumboots and, one at a time, throw them into the trailer. Change into flippers and race back to the start line.
4. Obstacle course completed while holding on to a suitcase and at the challenge station change into the outfit in the case, ensuring all items (including the blindfold) are on. Then race back to the start line.
Project Clutha said it was thrilled to be again be part of such a successful and popular event.
The Clutha Challenge is free, open to all ages and entries will be taken on the night. It begins at 8pm.
