Emergency services have attended a serious two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 in South Otago.
The crash was reported about 6.45am today.
Waka Kotahi/ NZ Transport Agency advised the crash happened just south of Waipahi, near the intersection with Whiteside.
Police said initial indications suggest that one person has critical injuries.
They thanked motorists for their patience while emergency services and serious crash unit attended.
The road was clear by 12.10pm.
