Several staff changes for Clutha District Council

New staff have joined and others have left the Clutha District Council in recent weeks, a brief report tabled on Thursday reveals.

Three appointments have been made in recent weeks, one staff member left and another four vacancies have yet to be filled, chief executive Charles Hakkaart said.

The new appointments include records officer Villa Faber, Shiree Dudley, who has taken up a 12-month position as district assets administrator and former council roading engineer Ivan Spackman, who recently returned from military duty abroad and has taken up a 12-month contract as roading projects engineer, to help the council handle its footpath contracts and address a backlog in its roading projects.

Former assistant policy analyst Stephanie Judd has left to take up a role with a Dunedin legal firm, Mr Hakkaart said.

Interviews are soon being held for the positions of children's librarian, assistant policy analyst and an assets engineering position.

Several candidates for the job of engineering cadet might do some work experience in the school holidays "to get a taste of what the job entails".
