Two Telford Rural Polytechnic equine students, injured in a car crash nearly two weeks ago, remain in Dunedin Hospital.
A 17-year-old, from Whakatane, is still in a serious condition in intensive care while an 18-year-old, originally from Hastings, is progressing favourably, a hospital spokeswoman said yesterday.
Two other students, Teegan Greenwood and Lauren Duthie, were discharged last week.
The crash claimed the lives of student Miemie Cloete (17) and an Israeli tourist, Or Eliyahu Ben-David (22).
Police are still investigating the crash which happened on the Balclutha-Owaka Highway, 500m from the polytechnic.
