James Hargest pupils put effort into sports day

It was a massive heave for James Hargest College year 9 Watson house members, led by Chloe Savage (13), during the tug-o-war competition at the school’s house sports day in Invercargill yesterday.

Pupils could participate in a range of activities including an obstacle course race, bean bag target throwing, 100m running and a variety of other challenges earning points for their house for participation and for winning.

The school was a sea of colour as pupils donned their house colours representing the four houses Watson (blue), Thomson (red), Menzies (green) and Hamilton (yellow).
