Two people have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Gore.
A police spokeswoman said three people "insisted" that the man in a house in Broughton St "come outside" about 11.30pm yesterday.
He was then assaulted by trio, police say, and suffered a moderate eye injury and bruising.
Two people have been taken into custody, while officers are looking for the other person involved.
A 22-year-old woman and 27-year-old man would appear in Invercargill District Court today in relation to the incident, the spokeswoman said.
