Two removed from car after Invercargill crash

Firefighters helped remove two people with minor injuries from a car after it crashed through a fence in Invercargill today.

The incident happened at 3.10pm on O'Byrne St, near the Rowena Jackson Retirement Village.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said two appliances attended at 3.15pm and were there for about 20 minutes.

A St John spokesperson said both had minor injuries, were treated at the scene and were not transported to hospital.
