Wanaka's second annual Waste Free Fair had a constant stream of visitors yesterday afternoon, and organiser Sophie Ward said in the space of a year there had been a "huge shift in community thinking'' towards minimising waste.

Jake Berry (right), of Wanaka, was a first time visitor to the fair who used a sewing machine for the first time to make a produce bag out of scraps of second hand curtains from Wanaka Wastebusters.
