Conservation Minister Nick Smith will visit the site of the proposed Fiordland Link Experience monorail's terminus at Te Anau Downs this morning.
The Save Fiordland group has been vocal in protesting the monorail proposal and the group's chairman, Bill Jarvie, said members of the group would love to meet Dr Smith.
Earlier this year, Dr Smith rejected a proposed tunnel to Milford Sound - from the Routeburn Rd in Mt Aspiring National Park to the Hollyford Rd in the Fiordland National Park.
