More than 600 riders, wagoners, walkers, cyclists and runners have been making their way through the back country of Otago this week as part of the Otago Goldfields Cavalcade.

The 27th annual event boasts 11 trails, which will all meet up in Lake Hawea tomorrow for a grand parade, followed by a hoe-down at night.

Otago Daily Times illustrations editor Stephen Jaquiery captured some of the action during the week.
