The Wednesday Girls, one of the Southern Institute of Technology Gore Campus Art for Leisure groups, were invited to exhibit their works at the Croydon Aviation Heritage Centre.
The exhibition, which opened on Monday, featured paintings by the group who were tutored by Julie Duncan.
The Wednesday Girls say they feel "privileged" and "thrilled" to have been invited to exhibit at the centre.
A wide range of subjects would be showcased, they said.
These included acrylics and oils with a range of subjects including landscapes.
