Rebekah Greene and Jacob Priddey finished third in the senior women's and men's races at yesterday's national cross-country championships in Upper Hutt.
The performance backed up last year's bronze for Greene, while it was a jump on last year's 11th for Priddey.
Greene beat defending champion Lisa Cross to claim her medal, finishing the 10km course in 36min 49sec.
It was a classy performance from Wellington's Maiya Christini that took the title. She powered away and opened a big gap on the field, finishing in 35min 48sec, 44sec ahead of second-placed Kara Macdermid.
Priddey's bronze came as he chased an equally classy winning performance from Cameron Graves who blitzed the field in 31min 25sec.
Cromwell-based Daniel Balchin, representing Canterbury, came in second in 32min 03sec to repeat his result from 2017.
Priddey finished 10sec behind Balchin in third.
In the men's under-20 grade, Otago's Logan Slee also claimed a bronze.
He finished the 8km course in 26min 36.4sec.
In the masters grades, Otago runners Geoff Anderson and Barbara Patrick both won titles.
Former Dunedin runners Dougal Thorburn and Mel Aitken both also won masters titles.
