Competitors waiting to compete in the swim leg encourage their friends
Year 5 pupils get under way during their race.
The Dunedin Primary and Intermediate Schools Triathlon in Port Chalmers, which is in its ninth year, attracted 470 children from 35 schools.
It was developed by Sport Otago and gives years 5 to 8 children the opportunity to compete in triathlon.
