Alistair Keith skipped the winning team in the Taieri Bowling Club's annual invitation fours tournament for the third time at the weekend.
The composite team of Tim Wood, Robbie Gibson, Craig McCaw and Keith beat the composite team of Oliver Mason, Robbie Thomson, Rod Fleming and Ross Brown 13-6 in the final.
Keith was a long-term Canterbury representative when he played for his home club in Ashburton before shifting to Dunedin four years ago.
He comes from a strong bowls family. His sister, Sandra Keith, won the New Zealand women's singles title last year and is playing in the world champion of champions singles in Cyprus.
In the semifinals, Keith beat Kerry Beck's composite team and Brown beat Nigel Birkbeck's team.
There was a full field of 32 invited teams from the South Island for the event on the Taieri and Outram greens. The prize money for the winning team was $2800.
