Cricket: Fleming rushes home to be with his wife

Former Black Caps cricket skipper Stephen Fleming is rushing home from India to be with his wife, who is expecting to give birth anytime soon.

He has had to leave his Indian Premier League Twenty20 team, the Chennai Super Kings, to fly back.

Chennai are scheduled to play Punjab tomorrow in Mumbai.

"He had to rush home as his wife is expecting. The delivery can happen any time so we decided to let him go," an official of the Chennai team VB Chandrasekhar told the Indian Express website.

Fleming has played 10 IPL matches as an opener and scored 196 runs.
