Taieri 115 lost to Green Island 116/2 by eight wickets.
Green. Island sent Taieri in to bat after winning the toss on Saturday. The going was tough early and Taieri's batsmen fought hard to establish themselves, while Green Island were hungry for a wicket.
That breakthrough came and when one wicket fell, so did the rest. Blair Soper bowled exceptionally to tear up the Taieri lineup and take six for 37. Captain Dwayne Weir batted courageously but his team crumbled and was eventually dismissed for 115.
Green Island looked the better team on the day and they ensured that would be the case when they took on Taieri's total. Openers Gregor Croudis (42*) and Nathan Watt (41) were determined in seeing through whatever the Taieri bowlers could fire at them.
With the help of Scott Simpson (17), the Green Island top order got the job done in just the 24th over to claim another easy win.
Carisbrook-Dunedin 149 lost to Albion 150/8 by two wickets.
Albion elected to bowl after winning the toss and claimed the early scalps of Carisbrook-Dunedin's Eathorne brothers. At 43 for five, they were really struggling, until Rhys Phillips (64) Tony McEntyre (26) found some stability.
They saw the total past the hundred mark, but when Phillips was dismissed with the score at 135, there wasn't much left in the tank for Carisbrook-Dunedin. Daniel Ingham was the pick of the Albion bowlers with four for 26.
Despite losing a wicket on the first ball of the innings, the Albion team batted pretty well. Many players got starts and they looked a notch above the Carisbrook-Dunedin side throughout.
Chris Harris's 27* was pivotal to Albion getting up for the win with just two wickets in hand. Chris Ware claimed three for 42.
Kaikorai 130 beat University-Grange 81 by 49 runs.
These two teams faced each other at Logan Park and it was Kaikorai who batted first. Dan Sharples (45) lost his opening partner early, but batted well through the onslaught to compile a good knock.
He and Hamish Robertson (37) put on 65 for the fifth wicket. When Sharples eventually fell to Ed Nuttal, who claimed three wickets for University-Grange, there was very little hope left for Kaikorai, which was soon dismissed for 130.
The response from University-Grange was doomed after it was on the ropes early at three for four, with the Kaikorai opening bowlers taking a wicket each. Hamish Robertson continued his good form and took four wickets for 13 runs to clinch the victory for Kaikorai.
Otago Boys' 45 lost to North East Valley 46/2 by eight wickets.
It was another tough day for the schoolboys at Logan Park. Otago Boys' crumbled for 45, grimly holding on for nearly 41 overs.
Cameron McAuslan's unbeaten 18 was the only defiant note as Jamie Murley (four for 18) and the North East Valley bowlers dominated.
Valley lost a couple of wickets as it switched into twenty20 mode, knocking the target off inside six overs.
