Watch that episode of Happy Days when Fonzie jumps the shark because match one of the three-game Chappell-Hadlee T20 series was a wash.
Australia cruised to a six-wicket win with more than three overs to spare.
They did that despite Tim Robinson swatting an undefeated maiden T20 international century for the Black Caps to help them post a reasonable tally of 181 for six at Bay Oval.
But what seemed a reasonable total quickly morphed into something much more modest.
Australia got the chase down to a run a ball with 10 overs remaining.
Opener Mitchell Marsh cracked 85 from 43 balls.
Five sixes. Nine fours.

The Black Caps will reflect on their dismal start with the bat and how many runs were lost during that phase.
Opener Tim Seifert blasted the second ball he faced through cover for four, then holed out next ball.
Fellow opener Devon Conway joined him in the shed in the next over.
He danced down the wicket. Missed. Stopped dancing. Trudged back off.
Ben Dwarshuis had struck and pounced again quickly — the next ball, in fact. He strangled Mark Chapman down the legside.
New Zealand was labouring at six for three.
Daryl Mitchell tried to make the most of the powerplay despite the horrid start.
Robinson took some time to get going before clubbing a pull shot flat for six.
The last over of the powerplay netted 15 runs for the Black Caps and Robinson’s confidence had started to swell.
The right-hander murdered a couple of deliveries from Xavier Bartlett to help flog another 15 runs.
He sent Adam Zampa’s first ball 92m. But the wrist spinner snuck the next one past the bat and fought his way back into the over.
Robinson’s 92-run partnership with Mitchell (34 off 23) reversed the earlier damage.
Robinson had a life of 62. Travis Head dropped a reasonably easy one. And he should have been stumped on 70 as well. Zampa was denied both times.
He was grassed again on 74 and 76.
Australia had a serious dose of cold hands.
But Australia pulled back the run rate with some decent death bowling and a brilliant run out of Bevon Jacobs for 20.
Michael Bracewell unselfishly ran himself out to get Robinson back on strike and give Robinson a shot at his century.
He obliged. The 23-year-old finished the innings with a four and a six to reach 106 not out from 66.
Australia caught a rocket early.
Head (31 from 18) and Marsh pummelled 67 in under six overs to turbo-charge the chase.
Matthew Short (29) freed his arms and kept the pressure on, stroking Kyle Jamieson down the ground for a boundary and dispatching the next ball over the rope at midwicket.
They broke the back of the chase rapidly.
