The 2012 Dunedin veterans pennant competition, which came to a close at the St Clair Golf Club on Monday, turned out to be a Chisholm Park Golf Club benefit.
The Chisholm Park Blue team suffered a rare loss in the final round, but still took top honours on 26 points after seeing off closest rival Taieri Gold 4-0 in the penultimate round.
A further Taieri Gold loss in the final round then allowed Chisholm Park Red to sneak past it into second place on games won, after both teams finished level on 22 points.
Gladfield and Taieri Red both finished on 20 points with Gladfield taking fourth place having won more games.
