Hall has been a standout for the Northern Mystics, but left the court after hurting her foot against the Central Pulse two weeks ago.
The defender, who could be seen in a moonboot and using crutches on the sideline of the Mystics v Northern Stars game last weekend, had surgery on Monday and has been ruled out for the season.
Mystics coach Tia Winikerei said Hall was recovering well.
‘‘The Mystics whānau are devastated that she won’t be able to play for the Mystics again this season and we’ve wrapped our love and support around her,’’ Winikerei said.
‘‘She is still a massive part of our team.’’
Hall had a breakthrough season in 2025, when she earned her inaugural Silver Ferns call-up, and has been in super form for the Mystics.
She leads the league for deflections (38) and intercepts (18), and is third for defensive rebounds (10).
Hall earned eight test caps for the Silver Ferns in her debut season and many tipped her to be on the plane to Glasgow.
It is unclear how long Hall is expected to be sidelined.
Netball New Zealand said Hall was currently in rehabilitation with the Silver Ferns high-performance team.
‘‘She is working closely with medical staff and is being well supported. Her rehabilitation plan is in its initial planning phase, and we will provide an update when appropriate.’’
The Silver Ferns selectors are due to pick the Commonwealth Games team on June 1 to meet the New Zealand Olympic Committee deadline.
• The Southern Steel are on track to sell out a game at the Edgar Centre for the first time when they play the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic this weekend.
Just over 300 tickets remained yesterday afternoon as fans flocked to see their in-form team, who sit second on the ANZ Premiership ladder.
‘‘We haven’t previously sold out games in Dunedin, although we have come close over the years, so this is really exciting for us,’’ Steel chief executive Sonya Fleming said.
‘‘We would love nothing more than to be putting up the
sold-out sign,’’ Fleming said.
‘‘It’s fantastic to see our Otago fans embracing this home game with such passion.
‘‘I have no doubt the Edgar Centre will rival our Invercargill fortress in the decibel stakes as the game unfolds.’’
The Southern Blast, led by Dunedin coach Janine Southby, will play the curtain raiser against the Matarau in their National Netball League game.
