Evergreen goal shooter Irene van Dyk has signed with Central Pulse for next season's trans-Tasman netball league after 11 years playing for Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic.

Van Dyk, who lives in Wellington, has commuted to Hamilton to train and play since moving from the Capital Shakers at the end of the 2002 season.

The Silver Ferns representative, who won gold at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games and also at the 2003 world championship, was the most accurate shooter in this year's trans-Tasman competition, scoring 425 goals from 445 attempts for a 95.5 per cent success rate.

She is the second of the Magic's four Silver Ferns to leave following the resignation of long-serving coach Noeline Taurua.

Midcourter Laura Langman confirmed on Saturday that she had signed with Northern Mystics. No decision regarding Magic defenders Leana de Bruin and Casey Kopua has been released.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time playing for the Magic, which has been very special, but I'm really looking forward to a fresh challenge with the Pulse as I look to build my future closer to home," van Dyk said.

With Robyn Broughton confirmed as head coach for a third year at the helm, the acquisition of van Dyk - a 2012 grand final winner with the Magic - means there is no room for Australian Caitlin Thwaites after three years at the Pulse.

The Pulse look set to present a strong challenge for next year's championship as it's believed the bulk of this year's squad is returning, including captain Katrina Grant, Joline Henry, Donna Wilkins, Liana Leota, Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit and Millie Lees.

The Pulse just missed out on making this year's playoffs, finishing one place and two points out of the top four.
