Netball still figures large in the lives of many of the champion Otago Rebels side.
Several of the group remain involved in the game, either at the top level or in coaching their children.
Captain Lesley Rumball is a doctor and physio in Christchurch, having been a doctor for the Mainland Tactix.
She has three children and coaches her daughter’s team, and has also been involved in various high performance sport boards and panels.
Belinda Colling lives in Maniototo and has four children.
She does a large amount of work in Central Otago junior netball, as well as helping as a specialist coach with top teams including the Silver Ferns, and commentating for Sky TV.
Anna Stanley has three children and is also a commentator. She now lives in Auckland, where she runs the athlete pathway programme at St Cuthbert’s College and coaches netball at the school.
Likewise, Adine Wilson is commentating and lives in Auckland.She has two boys and is heavily involved with the Netball Players Association.
Jo Morrison remains in Dunedin and runs Dunedin Netball’s development programme.
She also does coaching work in Taieri and in North Otago.
She works at the Otago Polytechnic, running a programme in sports and exercise health.
She still plays as well, her goal being to keep going another seven years to try to play premier netball with her daughter, having been inspired by a friend who had done the same.
Vic Edgar is in Auckland and coaches her girls, while Kate Nieve lives on a farm in Kurow and has been involved in coaching her daughter and with North Otago netball.
Nicki Rampton has two children and lives in Japan, Tara Blaikie remains in Dunedin with three children, while Megan Anderson is in Wellington.
Katie Fay is a GP in Rotorua and owns her own practice.
She also has two children and coaches her daughter’s netball team.
Belinda Charteris lives in Christchurch and has been involved with Christchurch Netball Centre, as well as doing some coaching and helping with the Tactix.
Kylie Young works in real estate in Invercargill and did a lot of work in cycling.
She and Morrison squared off on the court at this year’s Masters Games.
Leonie Matoe is a business development manager in Taranaki, while Vienna Waaka is an office manager and lives near Christchurch.
Coach Georgie Salter is still involved in high level netball, having co-coached the Netball South Beko League team alongside Donna Wilkins this year.
