With Canterbury not competing since the QEII pool was destroyed in the February 2011 earthquake, local divers were left with no competition from outside Otago.
Schievink (13) scored 296.60 competing in the platform discipline, a score which would have given him the New Zealand record in the C age group had it been at a national or international event.
Schievink, who will compete in the B section with 14 and 15-year-olds next year, scored 296.70 in the 3m discipline and 293.20 in the 1m.
Kate Bryant (11) also had a successful competition, winning and recording personal-bests in the 1m, 3m and platform events.
She also earned excellence awards in the three events, while Christina Weston (14) and Thriza Smith (13) received excellence and merit awards respectively in the platform discipline.
Christine Wierda, Bryant and Weston will compete in the national diving skills competition in Hamilton next month.
International Swimming Federation accredited judge Simon Latimer, who adjudicated at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games earlier this year, held a judges clinic last week, with seven new level one judges receiving accreditation and one moving up to level three.
There are now 11 Diving Otago accredited judges.
