Swimming: Guest best of Otago competitors

Megan Guest (Aquagold) won two titles and was the best-performed Otago swimmer at the South Island synchronised swimming championships at the weekend.

Guest's best performance at Moana Pool was in the age 13 to 15 solo, which she won with a score of 117.0244 points. The Columba College pupil also won the secondary schools solo title with 59.8 points. Kelsey Acker (James Hargest College) was second with 58.2 points and Caitlyn McMillan (Columba College) third with 55.3 points. Guest finished second when she teamed with Abby Smith in the aged 13 to 15 duet with 109.73 points.

The event was won by the Phoenix (Invercargill) pair of Ellie Pritchard and Michaela Belworthy with 119.32 points. Pritchard and Belworthy also won the junior duet title with 117.16 points. McMillan and Amelia Meredith finished second with 104.78 points.

Other Otago winners were Evie Ballantyne and Rosa Garlick, in the aged 12 and under duet, with 86.37 points, and Eva Stoddart and Rosana Marsh, in the aquarina duet, with 96.46 points.
