Pascoe (31) is one of the worlds elite paralympians and has won 10 medals - six gold and four silver - at the Beijing and London Paralympics.
She will be competing in three of the events, 100m butterfly, 100m backstroke and 100m freestyle, in which she won gold medals at the Paralympics.
Pascoe will be challenged by Aleisha Ruske (Neptune) in the 100m butterfly. Pascoe has a qualifying time of 1min 02.55sec and Ruske 1min 03.50sec.
Another challenge will come from the talented Oamaru swimmer Isabel Ryan in the 50m backstroke. Ryan has a qualifying time of 29.35sec and Pascoe 30.49sec.
Pascoe lost her left leg below the knee when she was run over by a ride-on lawnmower at the age of 2.
The Neptune meeting always attracts a big field of swimmers from Canterbury and Southland, as well as Otago.
Another top Canterbury swimmer coming to the meet is Satori Dobbie (QE2) who has made his mark at national age group championships.
Dobbie is competing in the boys aged 13 and 14 50m backstroke and the 50m, 100m and 400m freestyle.
Another talented Canterbury swimmer is 16-year old Sophie Gibson (QE2)
who is expected to dominate the open women's events in the 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 400m freestyle.
Caitlin Deans (Neptune), who won five medals at last month's national age group championships at Wellington, should excel in the junior distance events in the 400m freestyle and the 400m individual medley.
Fourteen-year-old Tame Govaerts (Zenith), who won four medals at the national age group championships, should win the junior boys breaststroke races.
Sophie Fairbairn (Wanaka) should win the junior girls 50m freestyle, the event in which she won a bronze medal at the national age group championships.
