Changeover sharp in workout win

Changeover was to the fore in a workout at Alexandra Park on Tuesday.

He won by a length from his stablemate, Awesome Armbro, over 2700m in 3.30.3, the last 800m in 56.7 and 400 in 27.4.

Maheer Skipper, another stablemate, won his workout in 2.48.9 for 2200m (mobile).

The horses were in the name of trainer Ian Small but they have reverted to his brother Geoff, who has been granted a stay of proceedings after appealing a two-year disqualification over a drugs breach.

Geoff can now continue training until his appeal is heard.

Changeover has not raced since he was first past the post in the Len Smith Mile at Menangle in April.

He was disqualified from that win on Monday after a hearing into his positive test to tranexamic acid, an anti-bleeding drug.

Omaha Beach has been sold out of the Roxburgh stable of Geoff and Judy Knight to clients of Adelaide trainer Terry Brown.

Omaha Beach, who was placed in a recent Auckland campaign, won five races, three for the Knight stable and two for Marcus Hamilton.

Den Of Inequity, who won twice for the Knight stable last season, has also been sold to Australia.

I'm A Star, the winner of six races, three for the Knights, before going amiss in November, is due to foal to Sutter Hanover.
