Paisley equals best tally

Two out of three is not bad for some, but three out of four was even better for trainer Alan Paisley at Ascot Park on Saturday.

The Longbush horseman took four horses to  the grass-track meeting and equalled his best day at the races  with three wins.

Junior driver Ellie Barron drove Glacier Coaster and Overcast to win in Paisley’s colours and Kirk Larsen drove Gotta Good Looker to victory.

Paisley scored his first training treble on the Ascot Park all-weather track in 2007 with Mystical Lad, Atom Queen and Glacier Holmes.

Woodlands owner Anne Chamberlain features in both trebles  as  Glacier Coaster and Glacier Holmes  are from her family’s line of mares.

"I think Glacier Coaster is going to be a really nice horse next year. She is still pretty green," Paisley said.

Barron’s winning double in the sulky was the first of her short career and took her career tally to six wins.
