Bellonet will wind up her racing career at Washdyke on Friday before being served by Darci Brahma.

Trainer Steve Anderton said he expected Bellonet to receive about 60kg in a rating 75 1600m. He has engaged apprentice Toni Direen to ride the 6yr-old mare. Direen can claim 2kg.

Bellonet won over 1600m on a heavy track at Invercargill in May under 58kg.

The daughter of Hussonet-Redoute's Belle, owned by Parr Bloodstock Ltd, of Ashburton, won over 1600m at Washdyke and a 1200m maiden at Riccarton on good tracks when trained by Peter and Dawn Williams.

Anderton is viewing a race for maiden 3yr-olds at Ashburton on Friday week for Lucille and a Tale Of The Cat-The Jewel filly.

Lucille finished third in each of her two starts as a 2yr-old. The Tale Of The Cat filly had preparation as a 2yr-old and she was put aside after going shin sore.

She is the second foal of The Jewel, winner of the New Zealand One Thousand Guineas. Her first foal, The Glitzy One (by Flying Spur), has won four races from the Anderton stable. She won the Great Autumn Handicap at Riccarton at her last start in May.

• Logan James, runner-up in the New Zealand Grand National Steeplechase on August 11, has been transferred to the Karaka stable of Ben Gordon.

Logan James, who undertook a South Island campaign this winter from the Invercargill stable of Jack and Jo-Ann Gordon, has been entered for the Pakuranga Hunt Cup at Ellerslie on Saturday.

Logan James won over country at Hastings, Foxton, Te Aroha, Wanganui and Awapuni (2010 Manawatu Steeple) when trained by Ross Elliot at Cambridge. He has yet to race at Ellerslie in 33 starts over country.

Cape Kinaveral, winner of the National, is also in the Pakuranga Hunt Cup.

• Redoute's Choice, a two-time champion Australian sire, has been contracted to stand the 2013 northern hemisphere breeding season in France, AAP reports.

The 16yr-old is to stand at the Haras de Bonneval of the Aga Khan.

Redoute's Choice, the winner of four group one races from 10 starts, was retired to Arrowfield Stud in the Hunter Valley in 2000.

A son of the international champion stallion Danehill, Redoute's Choice has sired 21 individual group one winners from 89 stakes winners. Six of his sons have sired gr one winners.

"We think this expanded alliance will give Redoute's Choice the opportunity to create a global legacy," John Messara, the chairman of Arrowfield, said.

• Atomic Force is short of full fitness ahead of his return to racing in the Carlyon Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday, but his trainer, Darren Smith, is satisfied.

Atomic Force worked on the course proper at Moonee Valley yesterday.

Smith said the horse was 80% fit.

"I'm hoping that will be enough for Saturday's race," Smith said.

Atomic Force has not raced since January when he won the gr one Railway Stakes at Ellerslie and finished second in the Telegraph Handicap at Trentham.
