Leif Erikson, an impressive winner at Forbury Park on August 16, could repeat the effort at Gore tomorrow.

Leif Erikson overcame locking wheels in the run home in his latest win, his third in six starts. He has been placed in the other three.

The Racing Integrity Unit will seek the disqualification of Delightful Christian (first) and Precious Mach (fourth) in Harness Jewels races in June and Dreamy Eagle, winner of the Northland Cup in February after the horses returned positive tests to prohibited substances.

This was stated by the RIU in a release last night.

The RIU said no action would be taken against the trainers of the horses, John Green and Brian Hughes (Delightful Christian), Nicola Chilcott (Precious Mach), Barry Purdon (Dreamy Eagle).

The RIU will now file an information with the Judicial Control Authority seeking the disqualifications.

The HJ positives related to arsenic and the Northland Cup winner to capsaicin and dihydrocapsaicin.

The positives were disclosed from testing of urine samples in a Hong Kong laboratory.

An investigation into a positive test to another substance returned by Precious Mach when he won at Alexandra Park in April is continuing.

The RIU said that trainers should be aware that arsenic is a prohibited substance over the level of 0.30 micrograms per millilitre in urine.
