Colin De Filippi added to a family record when he trained and drove Lord Mamaduke to win the Waimate Cup yesterday.

His brother Mike trained and drove Advance Tempo to win the Waimate Cup in 1994. Mike has also won the race as a reinsman with Kancho (1975), Arden Bay (1977) and Abit Rich (1995).

Colin first drove on the Waimate track 34 years ago.

Colin and his wife, Julie, took over the training of Lord Mamaduke this season. The D M Dillinger 6yr-old had been placed in four of his other eight starts from their Broadfields stable.

Lord Mamaduke won six races when trained by part-owner Greg Manson, who did not renew his training licence.

Miracle Mach, the 4yr-old who cleared maiden ranks yesterday at his ninth start, was sold for $88,000 as a 2yr-old at the Ready To Run sale. He is raced by Phil and Glenys Kennard, Brian McCully and Hazel van Opzeeland.

Miracle Mach joined the Woodend Beach stable of Greg and Nina Hope in November after two minor placings in six starts for Mark Purdon and Grant Payne.

Fair Dinkum Bromac, an all-the-way maiden winner yesterday, was a $32,000 purchase at the 2008 premier yearling sale by Ashburton trainer John Hay, who has a share in the ownership.

Sea Storm, who cost Grant Adamson $40,000 at the 2009 premier sale, also cleared maiden ranks for the stable of Fred Fletcher.

• Washakie completed successive wins in the Treuer Memorial at Bankstown on Saturday night. He led and won comfortably in a 1.59.2 mile rate for the 2540m (mobile) compared with 1.59.4 last year. The race record is 1.57.2 by Christian Cullen in 1998.

Our Sir Vancelot (1996-97) is the other dual winner of the Treuer.

The race was first run in 1983.

• Sleepy Tripp and I Can Doosit are set to race at Alexandra Park on Friday night as a final lead up to a trip to Melbourne. Sleepy Tripp has the $A425,000 Victoria Cup at Melton on December 18 as his target.

• Trainers Graham and Paul Court and Christchurch owner Terry McDonald won races at Alexandra Park on Friday night and Addington the following night. Terror To Love was an impressive winner at Alexandra Park and Cullens Moose won at Addington at his fourth start.

Cullens Moose was an $80,000 purchase at the 2008 Australasian Classic Yearling Sale. McDonald races Cullens Moose with his brother, Ken, who lives in Australia.
