Von Regal, who has her first start at Wyndham on Sunday, won a heat for 2yr-old pacers at the Gore trials yesterday.
Von Regal ran the 1700m (mobile) in a 2.02.1 mile rate, the last 800m in 59.8.
Trained by Ross Wilson, she is by Village Jasper from Regal Treasure, a winning half-sister by Holmes Hanover to Robyn's Cullen.
She will be driven on Sunday by Dexter Dunn in the race for 2yr-old fillies. The Malcolm Shinn-trained Exotic Girl, who won over 2000m (mobile) in 2.27.3 in a workout at Rangiora on January 10, is among her rivals.
Dunn has also been engaged for Advance Dundee in the race for junior drivers.
The John Hay-trained Advance Dundee has won his last two starts.
Classique, narrow winner of the free-for-all trial for 1-7 win pacers, is engaged at Wyndham.
The trotters Castletonian and Razor Face have been transferred to the Ladbrooks stable stable of Colin and Julie De Filippi.
The pair were previously trained at East Taieri by co-owner Alan Clark.
The 2yr-old Razor Face, who has been twice placed in five starts, has changed ownership.
Castletonian has been transferred for a change of environment.
The Continentalman gelding won the $55,000 Sires' Stake Trot for 2yr-olds at Addington in May when driven by De Filippi.
Wishing Wearl (Earl-Pat's Wish), one of five 2yr-old trotters qualified by the Clark stable this season, has been sold to Australia.
A heat of the Southland Oaks will be run at the Northern Southland Trotting Club meeting on April 4.
It is a replacement for the heat abandoned at Invercargill last Friday.
