Chiefs flanker Sam Cane will get his first Super 15 start of the season on Saturday after being named today in the side to face the Crusaders in Napier.
Cane's inclusion on the openside of the scrum means Liam Messam moves back to the blindside and Taiasina Tuifua drops to the bench.
In the one other change to the starting XV that began the win over the Stormers last weekend, Sona Taumalolo comes off the bench to be loosehead prop, swapping places with Toby Smith.
On the right wing, Leila Masaga, who got a knock to a leg in training, has been bracketed Tim Nanai-Williams.
