Hawke's Bay prop Clint Newland has been ruled out of the New Zealand Maori rugby team with a shoulder injury.
Newland left the field during Saturday's 20-9 Pacific Nations Cup win over Tonga at North Harbour Stadium.
He has been replaced for the remainder of the campaign by Northland prop Bronson Murray, who made his Super 14 debut for the Blues this year.
New Zealand Maori play Fiji at Churchill Park, Lautoka, on Saturday in their second game in the cup.
