Tennis: Wickmayer to face anti-doping tribunal

Belgian media reports say that US Open semifinalist Yanina Wickmayer will be questioned by a local anti-doping committee for allegedly failing to report her whereabouts to anti-doping investigators three times over the past 18 months.

Local reports said that the Flemish Doping Tribunal would not necessarily consider this an infraction under the whereabouts clause of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Repeated phonecalls to the agency were not answered. Under new WADA rules athletes must at all times say where they can be contacted for out of competition doping controls.

Media reports said that Wickmayer will be questioned later this month.
