The organisers of Methven's hot air balloon and laser festival are gearing up for take off on Sunday.
Fourteen balloonists from all over New Zealand will descend on the township for the magical Fire & Ice Hot Air Balloon Glow and Laser Festival.
Kiwi musician Brad Staley will perform, as will characters from Empress Stilt Dance.
Michaela and Graeme Church, owners of Adventure Balloons NZ, said the event on June 20 will be a spectacular show, combining hot air balloons, lasers and music.
“I want the families of our district and those from further afield to enjoy a thrilling afternoon out,” Michaela said.
There will be a kid’s zone and the food court has doubled in size from last year with a variety of tasty foods and deserts.
