Person flown to hospital after North Canterbury crash

One person has been seriously injured after crashing into a power pole on Thursday in Waimakariri, North Canterbury.

A police spokeswoman said the person was flown to Christchurch Hospital by helicopter after the crash on Cust Rd about 1.30am.

Meanwhile, one person is dead and three others have been injured after a car went off a cliff on Summit Rd in Christchurch's Port Hills late on Wednesday night.
