Event offers chance to plant a tree for Mother’s Day

The Trees for Families event will be held at the southern end of Rotary Park this Sunday, from 11am, to mark Mother’s Day.

A partnership between Keep Dunedin Beautiful (KDB), Rotary Dunedin and the Dunedin City Council, the event is a chance for families to take part in planting a tree to remember a person or significant life milestone.

People can register and buy a native tree via the DCC website (www.dunedin.govt.nz) for $20.

For those unable to take part in the planting day, a KDB or Rotary representative will plant it for you.
