As a way of thanking the bridesmaids and groomsmen, the pageboys and flower girls for their support, a small gift is usually given by the bridal couple. These are given before the wedding, often at one of the pre-wedding parties.
They need not be expensive. Articles which can be worn at the wedding are popular. Examples are earrings, bracelets, pendants or necklaces for the women and tiepins or cufflinks for the men. Vouchers are also popular choices.
