Most bridal couples and their attendants enjoy the thrill of riding in style on the wedding day and there is quite a selection to choose from.

They might go for the romance of a horse and carriage or, for those who love retro glamour, a vintage or classic car. They might like a sleek late-model Rolls-Royce or Jaguar, which are among the top-of-the-range prestige vehicles on offer.

There is the novelty of a stretch limousine or the fun of a helicopter that provides another real option for couples wanting transportation to the top of a mountain for photographs! Taxi companies, rental and specialised car-hire firms usually have matching cars available.

These come with chauffeurs well-versed in wedding procedures.

Cars can be hired for any length of time, but it is usual to book them for a two- or four-hour period. This takes care of the time from their arrival at the bride's address before the ceremony, to the arrival at the reception after the photographic sessions.

Cars are usually decorated, but it is advisable to check with the individual company as to what it supplies.

As with all wedding services it is imperative that companies are contacted as soon as the wedding date is set, as many are heavily committed and booked more than a year in advance.
