A stronger dollar generally pushed wool prices lower at last week's combined sales of wool from both the South and North Islands.
New Zealand Wool Services International reported the sale attracted 29,000 bales, of which 78% sold.
However, the market was affected by an exchange rate which strengthened 1.22%, compared with the previous sale on March 4, supply and demand being finely balanced and limited shipping space.
Fine crossbred wool was up to 2% cheaper, coarse crossbred eased 2% to 3%, while coarse shears fell by up to 1.5%.
Fine crossbred lambs eased 1% to 3.5%, with longer types attracting strong interest and strengthening in price by 1% to 5%.
Oddments fell by up to 2%.
