Wayfare promotes skifield manager to broader role

Cardrona and Treble Cone skifields general manager Bridget Legnavsky has been appointed to a new role.

Tourism business Wayfare — which owns tourism brands including Real Journeys and Cardrona Alpine Resort — yesterday announced several new appointments.

Ms Legnavsky has been promoted to chief experience officer of the company. In her new role she will have overall responsibility for all Wayfare experiences.

Ms Legnavsky was a visionary leader with an incredible talent for building team culture to deliver an outstanding guest experience, Wayfare chief executive Stephen England-Hall said.

‘‘She will lead, coach and mentor a team of general managers responsible for Wayfare’s tourism and ski experiences across their locations,’’ Mr England-Hall said.

In the new role, Ms Legnavsky would still have overall responsibility for the skifield’s experience and a new ski experience general manager would be appointed, he said.

Real Journeys general manager Paul Norris has been appointed the company’s chief conservation officer. He will lead conservation and sustainability in the group.
