A person has died in hospital following a serious crash in Christchurch last week.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash, on Kilkenny Close, about 11am on Thursday, September 10.

One person received serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

In a statement on Tuesday evening, police said that “despite best efforts by medical professionals, the person has died in hospital today”.

Police said inquiries into the crash were continuing.
