Nothing wrong with the performance and lead vocalist Jennie Skulander’s voice is pretty darn impressive, but a little more subtlety and some innovative time changes wouldn’t have gone amiss on second album Be Like The River.
Once the relentless jackhammer rhythm of opening track In Black recedes, there isn’t a great deal of sonic variation to get excited about. The best bits are when things slow down just a tad, and the band forgets about posturing with randomly injected "death growls".
