Review: Disturbed 'Immortalized'

Disturbed's latest album is best described as forgettable.

Disturbed.
Immortalized.
Warner.
One star-plus

Even for diehard Disturbed fans, Immortalized is an opportunity lost.

After the longest hiatus in the band's history, they haven't used those four years to advance their song craft. In fact, Immortalized sounds like a band on autopilot churning out the same tedious riffs with barely a clever hook or distinguishing clue that they are remotely interested in trying to evolve.

Committing lyrical crimes such as ''sometimes darkness ... can show you the light'', perhaps this is a band at ease pandering to the target audience in the same way Nickelback is?

Even if you have a weakness for detuned guitars, metallic drums and vocal gymnastics, Immortalized adds nothing to modern metal. Forgettable.
