Hairdressing is a craft

Harrington\Vaughan Academy offers hairdressing training and NZQA-recognised qualifications from level 2 to 4.

There is a range of options from alternative education places if school is not working for you and you are under the age of 16. If you are 16 to 19 years, there are Youth Guarantee places if you want to explore what the hairdressing industry is all about and require support for travel; and there is full-time level 3 and 4 training for those who really know this is their true calling and passion.

Situated in an upmarket fully resourced and spacious building, Harrington\Vaughan Academy is based in the city centre of Dunedin. It is the only private provider of hairdressing training in the Greater Otago region, and is a Category 1 Provider with NZQA.

Harrington\Vaughan has an inclusive family sense of belonging and has values that reflect the small-group environment in order to encourage participation, growth and success, so that you can rise up — together we are successful.

All programmes (qualifications) on offer at Harrington\Vaughan Academy are approved by NZQA and the TEC. Student loans and allowances are available to assist with equipment purchases and fees. The ‘‘Fees Free’’ opportunity may apply to you as a first-year learner.
